the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), a radical group which has vehemently opposed South African president Jacob Zuma, targeted six H&M stores in Johannesburg over a recent ad in which a black child wears a shirt saying “Coolest Monkey in the Jungle.”

The outlet reports that at one store of the six stores targeted, officers fired rubber bullets to disperse the protesters, but police have so far made no arrests.

H&M earlier this week issued an apology for the widely criticized ad, but protesters said this is only the beginning. The group seems to have other plans to upend the cycle of corporate racism—outrage, apology, business as usual, rinse and repeat.

Here is what the H&M shop in menlyn mall looks like. EFF member in Tshwane have given the shop 24 hours to close its doors permanently, they say failure to do so, will mean protests will continue outside of the store indefinitely. @TeamNews24 pic.twitter.com/DZpwfowbeV

Some of course spoke out against the “violence” of the actions, but EFF National Spokesperson & Commissar Responsible for Communications Ndlozi wrote on Twitter that there are “no cheeks left to turn.”

In our vocab: anti-black racism is violence! U asking us to confront violence by giving the other cheek. BUT how many times hav blacks given the other cheek on the racism question? Well there are no more cheeks left. We shall send petitions no longer, it’s time for Confrontation! https://t.co/6LKh1FxPv8

And there it is.
