Santana — whose real name was Derrick Coleman — was found dead around 11 p.m. at his home on the 6000 block of Corbin Avenue, said Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner Lt. Rudy Molano.
He was the cousin of Chicago rapper Chief Keef, who reportedly has a home in Tarzana.
On Saturday, Keef used his Twitter account to retweet images and messages from fans — one read “RIP LEGEND” — about his cousin.

Molano said on Sunday the autopsy is complete but deferred while they wait on test results.
In October 2017, Santana reported that he was being treated for liver and kidney failure, according to media reports.
One of Santana’s last tweets read “2018 da year ain’t no friendly (expletive) (expletive) yo whole life #ExtraStiff
His debut album “Trappin Ain’t Dead” was released in 2013, and featured Compton hip-hop artist Kendrick Lamar on the song “Jealous.”
Santana was set to release the musical project “Walking Legend 2” this year and had completed seven songs, according to his Twitter account.
