A suspect is under arrest in the fatal stabbing of a Bronx teen whose mother says was slain protecting his little brother from bullies.
Morgan was found by cops lying face up on the sidewalk at 6:10 p.m. Saturday, with two stab wounds to the chest, near West 181 St. and Grand Avenue in University Heights.
Cops said the stabbing happened after a dispute turned violent.
“My big one turned around and saw the little one was being bullied by someone his age,” said Morgan’s 34-year-old mother, Patricia Gay.
“They started tussling playfully. Then it got serious. All I know, the kids said they’re coming back with a gun.”
“Before you know it, some grown man came up to another kid holding a knife, said, ‘What are you doing with that?’ and took it from him and stabbed my son in his heart.”
Morgan died at St. Barnabas Hospital, before his mother arrived.
