The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that one person was “down” and taken to the hospital, but did not confirm the nature of their injuries. Officials said a deputy was involved in the shooting, but did not provide details of his injuries.
At 7:22 p.m., the Del Mar Racetrack, which is 20 miles north of San Diego, tweeted that the “situation has been contained” and said the concert “is moving forward as planned.”
